Provenance: 
Executed for presentation to the Right Reverend Monsignor O'Leary to commemorate his election to Monsignor by Pope Leo XIII; found discarded in an alley in New York City in 1978 by Robert Goodman, who entrusted it to his father-in-law Benjamin Einhorn, Professor of Art and Advertising at New York City Technical College; turned over by Einhorn to Thomas M. Carroll, Dean of the college, for the purpose of finding a permanent home for the object and where it could be exhibited; gift of Patricia and Thomas Carroll in honor of Robert Goodman and Benjamin Einhorn, in 1978.
