Provenance: 
Ṣadīq of Ardabil, 1834 (name on fol. 290v); purchased by J. Pierpont Morgan (1837-1913) from Alexandre Imbert, Rome, 1911; J.P. Morgan (1867-1943); the portion of the manuscript now known as M.847 was in the possession of Belle da Costa Greene.
Notes: 

Ms.written and illuminated ca. 1585 in Iran, probably in Shīrāz.
Some leaves are lacking--Cf. Schmitz.
Fol. 25 and 62-63 were removed from the manuscript and matted separately, apparently after the manuscript was catalogued by S.H. Taqi-Zadeh in 1914 and are now known as Pierpont Morgan Library MS M.847.1 and MS M.847.2-3
Decoration: gold-sprinked wove paper inserted into plain cream margins; headings are in white naskh; rulings are in black, gold, jade green, orange, light blue, tan, and navy; illuminated headings; 13 miniatures.
