Athanasius of Alexandria's Homily on Leviticus 21:9 and 19:22 and on St. Michael Archangel translated into Italian by Orlandi. Athanasius of Alexandria's Homily on murder and greed and on St. Michael Archangel translated into Italian by Orlandi, and partially (fols. 101v-106v (the Pachomius episode)) translated into French by Lefort (1943).
Written area ca. 274 x 218 mm. Divisions: Ekthesis, slightly enlarged initial, and, with many initials, paragraphus sign (zeta-shaped coronis) setting off paragraphs..
Script: Upright (titles right-sloping). 10 lines = ca. 90 mm
Superlineation: Non-standard. Punctuation: Raised dot(s) in conjunction with a space. Tremas.
Collation: Signed on first and last page of the quire, top inner margin. No quire ornaments, monograms, headlines or catchwords.
Decoration: large decorative frontispiece cross of knotted rope interlace, headpieces, tailpiece ornaments, page numbers, extended letters. Colors: dark red (Centroid 16), green (corroded), and yellow (faded).
The foliation printed in the Bybliothecae Pierpont Morgan codices Coptici photographice expressi is consistently one number too high--Cf. Depuydt.
A related fragment (Hamouli III) was purchased in Berlin in Jan. 1936 for Louvain University; this fragment was destroyed May 17, 1940 in the Louvain University Library fire. It contained the first 20 to 22 lines of the 2 outer columns of fol. 77, and of the 6 outer columns of fols. 78, 81 and 81 (Lefort (1940), pl. 3 shows the fragment joining fol. 78r).
