Provenance: 
Erased ownership inscription of what may be a church at Parma (Johannis Baptistae) on fol. 1r of M.391; purchased by J. Pierpont Morgan (1837-1913) from Gruel in 1910; J.P. Morgan (1867-1943).
Notes: 

Ms. Bible; written and illuminated in central Italy, possibly in Bobbio, early 12th century.
Decoration: 17 large decorated initials (M.391); 4 large historiated initials and 23 large decorated initials, three of which contain animals (M.392); 3 canon tables, 1 large historiated initial and 26 large decorated initials, one containing a bird (M.393).
