Owned in the 15th century by the Christoni (Cristoni) family of Brescia (a blue gauntlet flanked by the words stemma Christoni on fol. 1); later, Faustinus de Balatoribus in Chiaravalle; T.O. Weigel, Leipzig (not in 1898 sale); purchased by J. Pierpont Morgan (1837-1913) from Olschki in 1907; J.P. Morgan (1867-1943).
