Perfect pops of color are softened in this sheer silk-chiffon scarf making it a striking statement piece to complete any outfit.

Drawing inspiration from many of his contemporary artists of the time, such as Chagall and Kandinsky, Robert Delaunay worked closely with his wife Sonia Delaunay-Terk as well. With his wife, he is said to have instigated the poetically named art movement known as Orphism. Often referred to as Orphic Cubism, the use of bright colors differentiating the movement from Cubism.

Featured on this scarf, the 1914 painting Hommage à Blériot by Robert Delaunay contains core elements of this unique artistic movement. Inspired by a pioneer of engineering, Louis Bleriot, the first aviator to fly over the English Channel, this piece mimics the movements of airplane propellers with the circular shapes and highlights details from the Eiffel Tower.
