Join co-creators Sara Alfageeh and Nadia Shammas, of the award-winning graphic novel Squire , for an exclusive teen tour and workshop. Participants will take a tour of the exhibition She Who Wrote: Enheduanna and Women of Mesopotamia, ca. 3400–2000, and engage with author Nadia Shammas and illustrator Sara Alfageeh in an interactive art workshop.

This program is intended only for teens aged 13 to 18 years and their caregivers.
No experience required. All materials included.

 


Sara Alfageeh is the illustrator behind the award-winning graphic novel Squire, an artist passionate about drawing energetic characters, the color yellow, girls with swords, and the spaces where art and identity intersect.

Nadia Shammas is an award-winning Palestinian-American writer best known for co-creating graphic novels Squire and Where Black Stars Rise. Her work often involves themes of identity, memory, and decolonizing genre tropes.
