In conjunction with the exhibition, Shahzia Sikander: Extraordinary Realities, join the MacArthur Fellow and artist Shahzia Sikander in a virtual conversation with Roya Hakakian, poet and author of A Beginners Guide to America: For the Immigrant and the Curious, as they explore the relationship of the immigrant identity to the creative process of developing an artistic voice in both visual art and literature. The conversation will be moderated by Vishakha N. Desai, Senior Advisor for Global Affairs to the President of Columbia University and author of World as Family: A Journey of Multi-Rooted Belongings.
