Boston Early Music Festival Chamber Opera

The Grammy award-winning BEMF Chamber Opera Series presents a new, semi-staged production of Alcina by Medici court composer and performer Francesca Caccini, a contemporary of Monteverdi. Alcina is a brilliant entertainment, full of wit and drama, with a demanding title role first sung by the composer herself.
