Inscribed at lower left in pen and brown ink, "Cavedon"; also inscribed at lower left, illegible fragment.
Watermark: Unidentified, possibly a bird.

Moscardo collection, Verona, which passed to the Marquis de Calceolari (no mark; see Lugt S. 2990a-g); acquired in Zurich in 1949 by Janos Scholz, New York (see Lugt S. 2933b).
