Notes:
The typescript is not dated and of the correspondence in the collection only a postcard is dated (September 23, 1937) but it is known that Wilder was working on "Our Town" in the summer of 1937 and continued revising it through to the opening in New York on February 4, 1938.

Being a carbon copy of the typescript of the play, with differences from the published play; including three autograph revisions to the play marked "Appendix A," "Appendix B," and "Suggestion for the Close of the Play;" including five autograph letters signed from Wilder to Jed Harris, the producer of the play, concerning the writing and revisions to "Our Town."
