This drawing is a preparatory design for a monochrome oil on canvas for the organ loft at S. Giorgio in Braida, Verona.
On the same mount as 1993.122.

Inscription: 

Inscribed on a piece of paper probably taken from old album page and pasted onto verso, in pen and brown ink, "Bernardin India Veronese".
Watermark: Possibly Bishop's hat over shield, fragment.
Watermark: On tertiary support of the drawing. Three crescents in a row, descending in size.

Provenance: 
Moscardo collection, Verona, which passed to the Marquis de Calceolari (no mark; see Lugt S. 2990a-g); Janos Scholz, New York (no mark; see Lugt S. 2933b).
