Recto after Jacopo Tintoretto's "The Golden Calf" in Santa Maria dell'Orto, Venice, painted ca. 1560; verso after "Last Judgement", in the same church and dated to 1560.

Inscription: 

Inscribed on verso, on made up corner at lower left, in black chalk, "gu / M / 13"; at lower right, in black chalk, "6".
Watermark: Circle, bisected, surmounted by pole with three triangular segments attached. Same as 1993.133, 1993.139 and 1993.141.

Provenance: 
Moscardo collection, Verona, which passed to the Marquis de Calceolari (no mark; see Lugt S. 2990a-g); purchased in Zurich in 1949 by Janos Scholz, New York (no mark; Lugt see 2933b).
