There are more than 350 illustrations, early examples of lithographs printed in colors.
The magazine existed only two years, 1847 and 1848. It is filled with colored illustrations of military uniforms, dogs hunting, views of important buildings, and illustrated stories about explorers, battles, and various regions of France.

Binding:

Contemporary 1/2 rose morocco with orange-blue marbled boards, spine gilt, with combed marbled endpapers. The issues are bound together with the upper covers from the first (v.1) and the Novermber issue (v. 2) inserted as an extra title page.
