Original watercolor of a design for a "yellow-back" cover for an edition of Robert Knox's Fish and fishing in the lone glens of Scotland; published by the firm of George Routledge & Co., probably sometime during the 1850's.
Lettered within design: Fish and Fishing [at head] One Shilling & 25 Cents [at foot] George Routledge & Co London New York [spine design] Fish & Fishing by R. Knox MD.

Inscription: 

In pen on verso: Fish & fishing in the lone glens of Scotland [with note at immediate right] Egyptian [at foot] Routledge Stone.
