The drawing was engraved and published by Samuel and Nathaniel Buck as plate 6 in the twelfth set of "The Most Remarkable Remains of Abbeys, Castles etc. to Found," 1737.

Inscription: 

Inscribed along upper edge, in pen and brown ink, "THE EAST VIEW OF ARUNDEL CASTLE, IN THE COUNTY OF SUSSEX".
Watermark: Fleur-de-lis in shield, surmounted by crown, over initials "WR", (Strasbourg lily).
