Watermark: none visible through lining.
A related drawing, the "Beheading of St. Catherine of Alexandria", was on the London art market in 1971 as by the Flemish printmaker Johannes van Londerseel (1570/75-1624/5), the same artist to whom the Morgan drawing was attributed at the time of its purchase in 1983.
Formerly attributed to Johannes van Londerseel, ca. 1570-ca. 1625.

Inscription: 

Signed with monogram and dated at lower center, in brown ink, "J V L 1619". Inscribed on the verso, at lower center, in graphite, "Jan Van Londerseel né a Bingen en 15..." (cut off).
