Design for plate 6 in the artist's "Abbildung der jagtaberen Thiere mit derselben angafügten Fährten und Spuhren, Wandel, Gänge, Absprünge, Wendungen, Widergängen, Flucht, und anderer Zeichen mehr mit vielen Fleiss, Zeit und Mühe nach der Natur gezeichnet, samt iener Erklärung darüber", Augsburg, 1740. The Library has acquired an impression of this plate, engraved by Augustus Wind (P) 1973.14.

Inscription: 

Signed and dated at lower right, "J. E. RIDINGER DEL. 1739 m: x birs in aug."; inscribed by the artist in pen and brown ink below, "disen Hirsch von ungeraden 24. Enden haben Ihro Hochfürstl: Durchl: / Herr Markgraff Wilhelm Friedrich zu Brandenburg-Onolz = / bach A:no 1719. auf Gunzenhauser Wildfuhr Saussenhofer / Lohlein in einem Bestaett = Tagen selbst geschossen!"
