Notes:
While this drawing featuring a head of a young man certainly resembles Jean-Baptiste Greuze's work in style and subject, it was likely made by one of the artist's followers. Edgar Munhall suggests it was possibly executed by someone in Greuze's studio (oral communication, July 2010), such as Jean-Jacques Flipart (1719-1782) or Charles Etienne Gaucher (1741-1804) who made prints after Greuze's drawings.
