Inserted at front of the volume is a note, presumably in Ehret's hand, reading: "The plant which I have drawn last year by an overside have given a name under the drawing, of Leu cojum morinum which is not the true generical title of the plant--therefore I beg for the present to lay the underwritten name to it till such time I can rectifie it myself. Bunias cakile siliculis ovatis aeribus ancipitibus. Linn Sea Rocket."
