Ms. canon law leaf; written and illuminated in France, probably Avignon, 1340-1350.
Decoration: 2 illuminated initials, one in the text and one in the gloss, gold leaf laid on blue ground, on pink ground outlined in black, with acanthus leaf decoration, imitating Bolognese work. A little bearded head is sketched in light brown ink at the upper left hand corner of the illuminated text initial.
Texts: End of Book IV and beginning of Book V of Constitutiones Clementinae, in two columns surrounded by two columns of gloss.
Leaf is foliated '75' at upper right hand corner. At the lower right edge of the recto is a red '+...', probably the scribe's indication for the 4th leaf in a quire of 8.
