Front cover of light brown morocco with a gold cartouche containing arabesque leaves and tulips and a border of gold braid between two gold fillets; the mismatched back cover is of dark brown morocco with a center lobed medallion with a insert patterned with molded cloud band and arabesque designs; the doublures are cream paper.

Ms. written ca. 1780 or later, probably in Turkey; miniatures added in the twentieth century, possibly in Europe.
Decoration: 27 archaistic miniatures.
Incipit: al-hamdu lillāhʾl-walī waʾl-ṣalātu ʻalā nabīyinā wa-ālihi ajmaʻīn (fol. 2).
Text box varies, but is generally 182 x 85 mm.
