Ms. single leaf from a Qurʾan; written and decorated in the 10th century, possibly in Iran or Iraq.
Text: sura 24, al-Nūr (Light), verse 61, to sura 25, al-Furqān (the Criterion), verse 10.
Another leaf of this Qurʾan is held by the Freer Art Gallery.
Decoration: red dots mark vowels and groups of parallel strokes mark the ends of verse; every tenth verse is marked by a small gold rectangle.
