Manuscript Pauline Epistles (fragmentary) written in Egypt.
1 Corinthians probably began in the missing portion of fol. 10v. Leaves wanting between fols. 18 and 19; 2 Corinthians, Hebrews and Galatians are entirely wanting. Philippians probably began in the missing portion of fol. 21, at the end of fol. 21r or the beginning of fol. 21v. Leaves wanting between fols. 25 and 26. Colossians probably began in the missing portion of fol. 26r. 2 Thessalonians probably began in the missing portion of fol. 35r. 1 Timothy probably began in the missing portion of fol. 37v. Titus and Philemon entirely wanting.
Colophon: fol. 43r: Memorial in Coptic: For and by Kirilloù£. Text reads: "Remember me, all you who will read in this book. Pray for me, Lord [...], I, Kirilloù£, the greatest sinner of all."
Divisions: Major initial, ancient chapter number, and paragraphus sign (vine-scroll coronis) setting off major textual units; ekthesis, reddened enlarged initial, and paragraphus sign (Touton style with reddened diple in column a and reddened obelus in column b) setting off paragraphs. Exceeding letters of last line of page written below end of the line.
Script: Upright. 10 lines = ca. 81 mm
Superlineation: Non-standard (short strokes). Punctuation: Raised reddened dot in conjunction with a space. Tremas rare.
Collation: Signed on first and last page of the quire, top inner margin. Headlines, with horizontal rule reddened above and below. No remains of quire ornaments, monograms, or catchwords.
Decoration: headpiece, tailpiece, marginal ornaments, signatures, extended letters, color: red (chemically altered).
