Thomas Roper; Henry Wilett sale (London, Christie's, July 5, 1905, lot 36) to Quaritch; sold (1906) by Quaritch to George C. Thomas, Philadelphia (catalogue, 1907, p. 23); purchased by J. Pierpont Morgan (1837-1913) from Mrs. G.C. Thomas in 1910; J.P. Morgan (1867-1913).
