Watermark: none visible through lining.
One of three Set Designs, originally part of an album, now dismembered.
The support for each leaf has Ferrario's name and the name of the opera printed in gold.
Archille Peri's "Rienzi" was performed in Milan on 26 December 1862.
The Donald Oenslager Collection of theatre drawings at the Library contains an additional twenty-eight drawings by Ferrario that were originally a part of this album (Acc. Nos. 1982.75:215, 1-28).

Inscription: 

Signed along right edge in pen and brown ink, "Ferrario C."
