Rudin Internship: Communications and Marketing Assistant

This internship opportunity for active CUNY undergraduate students.

The Morgan Library & Museum is seeking a Communications and Marketing intern to assist in the day-to-day activities of the Communications and Marketing department. Responsibilities will include researching the collection and liaising with other departments to collect material for social media posts, updating press contact lists, proofreading press and marketing materials, assisting in departmental special events including press previews, and researching potential partnership organizations 
 .

The ideal candidate must be intellectually curious, detail oriented, and enthusiastic about the Morgan Library & Museum’s collections. Qualified candidates of diverse ethnic and racial backgrounds are encouraged to apply. An interest in museum communications and marketing strategy and the Morgan’s collection and social media presence is desirable. Excellent writing and proofreading and background in writing about the arts are required.  Due to the high volume of applicants, we are able to contact only active CUNY undergraduate students whose skills and background best fit our needs. This position offers a great opportunity to gain substantial, wide-ranging experience in a museum Communications and Marketing environment.  This internship requires a commitment of one or two days per week, for a duration of at least three months.

Compensation: $15.00/hour
Hours: 10–15 per week
Days: 2–3 days per week (schedule negotiable)
