Facilities Associate


The Morgan Library & Museum seeks a team-oriented Facilities Associate. The Facilities Associate is responsible for the processing and distribution of mail and the movement of other materials on the Morgan campus, excluding exhibition- and catering- related shipments. Reporting to the Morgan’s Office Manager and working with departments across the organization, this position manages the mailroom; maintains and operates the mail meter; coordinates incoming and outgoing loading dock shipments; manages and distributes office supplies; and supports office operations in other ways as requested.

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two or more years of related work experience
  • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to follow directions with keen attention to details and the flexibility 
to embrace change
  • Capacity to assess workflow and proactively implement improvements
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environments
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and use a hand truck for heavy items
  • Ability to walk to USPS/FedEx with mail and packages
  • Knowledge of US postal regulations; alternate shippers such as FedEx and UPS ; and mailroom equipment (postage meters, scales, etc.) a plus

$20 - $22 per hour, commensurate with experience; excellent benefits.
