Custodial Supervisor

Responsibilities

The Custodial Supervisor provides hands-on leadership and oversight of custodial operations across the Morgan’s campus, ensuring a consistently high standard of cleanliness for staff and visitors. Reporting to the Director of Facilities, the position actively participates in daily cleaning activities while scheduling, supervising, and supporting the housekeeping team, guiding cleaning-related vendors, and managing the cleaning supply inventory. The position also leads and participates in event preparation, including moving, setting up, and breaking down furniture.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong supervisory skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to motivate and train staff
  • Proficiency in using facility and grounds maintenance equipment
  • Working knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Gmail desirable, but not required

Education and Experience

  • Five or more years of related work experience in housekeeping or maintenance
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Exterior and interior spaces
  • Availability for some overtime work on some nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency on-site response as needed
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Able to lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to perform duties on ladders
  • Able to work in all types of climates, both indoors and outdoors
  • Able to tolerate moderate levels of dust and odor generated while performing normal housekeeping duties.
Compensation

$29.50 per hour; Excellent benefits.
