16th-century French brown calf, gold-tooled, with black-painted interlace, dated 1552, for Thomas Wotton by Wotton's Binder III (Nixon's Wotton's Binder C; who bound another copy with Wotton's arms, formerly in the Breslauer collection, see Bibliotheca bibliographica Breslaueriana, Christie's, New York, 21 March 2005, lot 7).
