First published as a limited edition, in 1966, this anonymous translation of a novel by artist Giorgio de Chirico offers dreamlike situations and landscapes reminiscent of his Surrealist paintings. It is accompanied by over a hundred pages of previously uncollected "metaphysical" writings by de Chirico, including Monsieur Dudron's Adventure, a fragmentary novella translated by John Ashbery.
