These paperweights, individually hand-worked so that no two are exactly alike, were inspired by netsuke, miniature sculptures originating in seventeenth-century Japan. The artist enclosed these miniature masterpieces in lead crystal, then coldworked them round and faceted to enhance the fine details within. Dichroic glass at the bottom of each paperweight makes it glow with color when lit from above. These unique paperweights are created by Robin Lehman, a glass worker and filmmaker with a love of
nature, the oceans, and art.
Actual colors may differ slightly
from those in the image.
