This monograph on Monika Gryzmala is published as part of the Berenberg Bank’s 2010 index kunstpreis series, which features the works of the prizewinners from 2000 to 2011. She describes her approach as creating temporary interventions in space that turn the line into a three-dimensional drawing. A large-scale, site-specific installation by the Berlin-based artist has occupied the upper part of the Morgan’s Gilbert Court through the summer of 2013. The work consists of five thousand sheets of shimmering white Washi paper and recycled book pages, all connected by a network of fishing line and paper-coated wire.
