Interactions: Drawings and Oil Sketches
This symposium will showcase original research on the intersection between drawing and sketching in oils, with a focus on the work of nineteenth century artists. Presentations will address a range of topics including pedagogical practice, artists' working methods, and the role of drawing and studies in oil in the creation of finished paintings. This program is co-organized by the Morgan Drawing Institute.
