Symposium

Interactions: Drawings and Oil Sketches
This symposium will showcase original research on the interaction between drawing and sketching in oils, with a focus on the work of landscape artists of the late eighteenth through the mid-nineteenth century. Presentations will address a range of topics including pedagogical practice, artists’ materials and processes, and the role of drawing in the creation of studies in oil.
