In 1433, Pope Eugenius IV gave Duke Philip the Good of Burgundya Communion wafer embossed with an image of Christ as Judge that miraculously bled.Roger S. Wieck, Curator of Medieval and RenaissanceManuscripts,discusses the fascinating350-year history of the Sacred Bleeding Host of Dijon. This lecture coincides with the opening of the exhibition Illuminating Faith: The Eucharist in Medieval Life and Art.
