The Marriage of Figaro, Royal Opera House

Opera in Cinema
In conjunction with Emerging Pictures, the Morgan presents a series of stunning high-definition operas from Europe's landmark theatres. Watch the drama of opera come to life on the big screen in these encore broadcast Sunday matinee screenings. All films are presented with English subtitles.

The Marriage of Figaro
(2006, 200 minutes)
Director: David McVicar
Miah Persson (Susanna) and Erwin Schrott (Figaro) sing the roles of the two servants at the center of Mozart's beloved opera, known for its lovely melodies and opera buffa antics. Also starring Gerald Finley and Dorothea Röschmann as the Count and Countess Almaviva, this screening of David McVicar's 2006 production is performed by the orchestra and chorus of the Royal Opera House, under the baton of Antonio Pappano.
