Miriam Margolyes: Dickens' Women "Highly entertaining...riveting...a virtuoso display"–The Guardian
Acclaimed BAFTA award-winning actor Miriam Margolyes (Harry Potter, The Age of Innocence, Wicked), and a Patron of Dickens 2012 reprises her Olivier-award nominated production especially recreated to celebrate the bicentenary of Charles Dickens. Portraying over twenty-three of Dickens' best-loved characters including Mrs. Micawber (David Copperfield), Miss Havisham (Great Expectations), and the grotesque Mrs. Gamp (Martin Chuzzlewit), Miriam Margolyes, together with her audience, sets out to discover Dickens himself—from his raucous humor to the darker aspects of his life and work. Devised and written by Miriam Margolyes and Sonia Fraser; Original music and arrangements by Michael Haslam; Simon Mulligan on piano. Directed by Sonia Fraser. Produced by Richard Jordan Productions Ltd in association with Andrew McKinnon, and Pleasance. Friday, November 09, 2012, 7:30 p.m.
Tickets: $35 for Non-Members; $25 for Members SOLD OUT
