Seen as the public champion of household harmony, Charles Dickens tore his own life apart, betraying, deceiving, and breaking with friends and family while he pursued an obsessive love affair. Join acclaimed literary biographer Claire Tomalin (Thomas Hardy, Samuel Pepys: The Unequalled Self) as she explores the tumultuous life of the great English novelist in her new book Charles Dickens: A Life.
