Pairs of stellar opera singers, many of whom were winners of a George London prize early in their careers, or recent George London Award recipients, perform in this annual series of recitals. A reception with the artists follows the recital.

Tenor Dimitri Pittas began the current season at the Metropolitan Opera singing the role of Cassio in a new Opening Night production of Otello, directed by Bartlett Sher. He also performs the role of Alfred in Die Fledermaus at the Met, and in Japan at the Saito Kinen Festival. Jennifer Johnson Cano’s 2014–15 season included Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni with Boston Lyric Opera, Beethoven Symphony No. 9 with Manfred Honeck and the Pittsburgh Symphony, and a return to the Baltimore Symphony with Marin Alsop for Leonard Bernstein’s Jeremiah Symphony. Works by Hugo Wolf, Jonathan Dove, and Hector Berlioz, among others, to be performed.
