Summary:
The aperture of a Punch and Judy show topped by the Royal Arms. Wellington, as Punch, leans against the corner of the box, timidly clasping a baton. His humped back is inscribed 'The Protest'. Behind him (right) is the shadowy figure of the Devil, with the head of Grey, holding out a menacing pitchfork. Below the design are the showman's words: 'Here you see Mr Punch throw his child Protestant Ascendancy out of the window, knock on the head his wife's consistency &c. &c. &c'.
