The Department of Medieval and Renaissance Manuscripts seeks an assistant to maintain the extensive files that pertain to the more than 1,400 manuscripts owned by the Morgan. Maintenance includes keeping bibliographic material current, removing outdated material, ensuring that files are properly labeled and materials relating to exhibitions are appropriately documented and other filing duties as assigned. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone seriously interested in the Middle Ages or the Renaissance to gain more familiarity with the subject matter.
College degree required. Background or interest in art history or serious interest in the Middle Ages or Renaissance preferred. Individual must be attentive to detail, well organized, proficient in basic office skills (Microsoft Office Suite). Knowledge of TMS desirable but not required.
