Development Database Administrator/Researcher
(Full-time)
Job Responsibilities
The Morgan seeks an energetic, creative Database Administrator/Researcher to support the Development Department through the management of the Raiser’s Edge database, providing oversight of donor records and guidance for tracking donations, pledges, grants, in-kind support, and cultivation activities. The individual is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the database, for management of analytical and financial reports, and for coordinating with the Finance Department. This position is also the chief prospect researcher for the Development Department and will produce biographical, business, and related information on donors. This position offers critical support to the department's cultivation and management of the Morgan's donors. This position will report to the Director of Major Gifts.
Qualifications
- 4 or more years of direct work experience in Raiser's Edge database management
- Strong proficiency in using Raiser's Edge software including implementation and management of the system
- Proven data management skills including data processing and records maintenance
- B.A. degree preferred
- Interest and success in creating queries and executing complex reports
- Superior written, analytical, and quantitative skill and keen attention to detail
- Proven writing and research skills
- Ability to work independently or with a team
- Ability to communicate clearly and work across departments
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple time-sensitive tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Windows and PowerPoint) and Crystal Reports preferred
