Ms. moralizing tales; written and illuminated in France, ca. 1560.
Decoration: 1 full-page drawing on vellum preceding the text, dated to the last quarter of the 16th century, representing the queen seated in a field of the village of Cotteret, surrounded by the ladies of her court; 1 illuminated headpiece with as yet unidentified arms of the first owner; numerous initial letters illuminated in gold and colors.
