Soul, take thy risk

Audio:

From 1840 until 1855, the Dickinson family lived in a house that overlooked the Amherst cemetery. She wrote this fragment on the back of a tiny sketch of a gravestone; it was first published in 1945.

With Death to be
Were better than be not with thee

Soul, take thy risk
