Although long attributed to Piranesi, this drawing is more likely by the professional draftsman Nicolas François-Daniel Lhuillier, who was associated with Piranesi during his years in Rome.

Inscription: 

Numbered at upper left, in graphite, "14".
Watermark: Fleur-de-lis inside circle, over monogram "CB", centered on chain line. Density of red chalk is seen on radiograph image.
