Description: 

Christ: Harrowing of Hell — Christ has a nimbus of rays, is wearing a short loincloth and a cloak, and is holding a cross staff in his left hand. The foremost man in a group of souls of men and women extends his right hand to the right hand of Christ. He is stepping out of a mandorla onto the head of a devil. In the background smoke emerges from holes in earth and a devil stands behinds rocks..
The margins are decorated with floreate ornament. In the lower margin, a monogram of the initials A and P are linked by a love knot. Text, Hours of the Virgin.
